Useful context before garage demolition work
Roofing is the detail that changes the job most. Asbestos-cement corrugated sheeting was the standard roofing material for garages built across BS16 through the 1950s, 60s and into the 70s, and a good proportion of these roofs remain in place, weathered but intact. A competent specialist check the roof before quoting removal of the rest of the structure, because sound cement sheeting in reasonable condition can be removed under controlled, non-licensable conditions by trained operatives, while damaged or friable sheeting needs a more cautious approach and adds time to the job.
